Hiking Trip - Habil Hike - Jbeil District

  • Habil Hike

Join us for a hike in Habil, a charming village in the Jbeil district, whose name means "the second son of Adam" or "fear of God." Nestled on the western side is Qornet Armati, home to the historic Our Lady of Habil Church, which served as part of the patriarchal headquarters from 1150 to 1209, adding to the village's rich cultural and religious heritage.

Our journey begins with a moderate hike from Sarhit, the royal lands of King Serhal. As we traverse the trail, we’ll be surrounded by majestic oak trees and treated to breathtaking views of mountains, valleys, and the sea. We’ll stop at Ain El Jaouze, the village's natural water source, to pause and appreciate the serene beauty of the area.

Next, we’ll approach the iconic Saydet Habil Church, a timeless landmark that has witnessed the region’s history for centuries. The panoramic view from the hill next to the church promises to be truly awe-inspiring.

We’ll conclude our hike with a delightful lunch featuring homemade dishes prepared just for you.

This hike in Habil offers an unforgettable experience, blending natural beauty with historical significance. It’s the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings of this beautiful Lebanese village.
